Headed out today with a premier trip, ended up with just 4 lads out as a couple of lads had to drop out last minute. The morning started off with a bit of breeze and we did a fair bit of sheering around until the tide changed. We had a move over slack water and with a few dogfish, a smooth-hound and two tope pups along with a couple of roker we had made a start. The next mark produced a couple more roker and dogfish but we weren’t happy so we moved again. the next mark proved to be far more productive and we had a busy end to the day with plenty of roker coming out. these were joined by a couple more tope pups and hounds. Stephen Clarke had a nice hound around 9lbs or so which he was pleased with. This was surpassed by a couple of nice bass for andy and paul. Paul had one of around 4.8lbs but this had been trumped by a lovely fish andy caught shortly before hand. It was a new PB for andy at 10.4lbs which we were all pleased to see. We finished up with 20 roker and lots of other bits and bobs. Even a few whiting.
