Got a few trips in this week with some nice weather and great company. Trips produced smooth-hounds, bass, dogfish, whiting and roker mainly with some great fish coming out. the hounds were feeding but the weed was a problem at times. On Monday Dave hired the boat by himself and we worked hard to dodge the weed. This payed off for him with some nice hounds and bass. His biggest hound was the biggest on the boat this year and topped the scales at 22.13lbs! that made up for the bass of 3-4lbs that came off at the net just before hand. As you would expect she put up a great fight in little more than 4ft of water. We have had a great summer on the hounds with loads of double figure fish and the previous biggest at 17.2lbs. I wanted to see a 20+ and I am glad Dave caught it. Dave is just getting seriously into angling and with a bass of 7.4lbs last trip with us and a 22.13lbs hound this trip he should either quit while he’s ahead or take it up for a living! We should see a few more hounds over the coming weeks but that’s probably the best of them gone after these tides.  I have my diary and tide table for next year. should you wish to book in advance then please contact me.
