Unfortunately we had to head home today. I must admit it was hard to drag ourselves away just as the tope seemed to be kicking off and with fantastic weather yet again (I am led to believe the weather is always fantastic here 365 days of the year). We had another great breakfast from dave before saying goodbye. He an Marilyn had looked after us so well this week and made us so welcome. their b&b is called driftwood situated adjacent to drumore harbour and overlooking luce bay. They can be contacted by telephone on 01776 840655 or email marilyncastle@hotmail.com on our way home we took a short detour to portpatrick. It’s a long story but I had tried to visit portpatrick to day before our wedding but ended up somewhere else instead. It is a picturesque town/villiage perched on the edge of the irish sea or should I say beauforts dyke? It was made all the more picturesque by the early morning sun shining on it. We had a wonder around here and Stacey took some pictures of the many black guillemots in the harbour before we headed home.
