Day 6 sandland brygge

Today it was just dad and I as lee had joined Stacey for a day climbing one of the mountains. I must admit I wasn’t on top form my self but the weather wasn’t bad and we didn’t head too far as we were trying more for flatties than cod. The first couple of marks we fished we were hampered by a gusty and variable wind as it whipped around the island and cliffs. We had also struggled for bait so the morning was a pain. We moved a couple of times and spent the end of the day catching 10-12 jumbo dabs and a couple of plaice both 3.7lbs. I lost a couple of halibut as my baits were too big. Funny enough one of the other boats had a drift or two next to us and had 6-7 halibut just yards from us. Sometimes your on them and sometimes not. We had enjoyable fishing for the smaller flatties though. Looking up at the mountain lee and Stacey were on we could see a dump of snow come down this afternoon.
