Day 5 sandland brygge

After yesterdays excitement we decided we had to try harder for halibut. We may have seen several but lee hadn’t managed one and we wanted a bigger one (as is the way of fishing). the weather wasn’t bad although there were still showers about. Our first drift produced a few jumbo dabs, my first plaice of the trip and a little halibut. After this drift we moved on as we wanted to try a couple of different areas. The next bit we drifted resulted in instant success for me and a new pb of just under 20lbs. a modest fish but they were getting bigger. We had a couple more drifts and tried a different area but had no more halibut. We had coalfish and a few nice cod before moving off to finish the day on some more cod for a drift or two.
