October

October

There has been plenty of wind about over the past couple of weeks but luckily there have been plenty of fish about too. we have enjoyed some busy general trips when we stay inshore. The numbers of roker have tailed off a bit but thankfully there are some decent ones showing to make up for this. They may not be getting a chance to reach our baits as there are huge numbers of whiting and dogfish in places. These greedy fish will eat most baits and once we have a good scent trail behind the boat they can come to the boat thick and fast. I must admit, at times I am struggling to keep up with the disgorger in between making tea. Even well into October we are still seeing the occasional bass or smooth-hound very close inshore. I’m not complaining as they are great fun and brighten up the day in between the rays and the vast amounts of whiting and dogfish.

Once again, seeing these bass inshore so late gives me confidence that our offshore bass trips will continue to be productive for several weeks to come. I have a few spaces on these as well as some dates available for full boat bookings off there.

Not all dates are advertised so please call me.
