Had a premier trip today with all the lads familiar faces aboard the galloper. We were mostly after targeting hounds although as usual anything goes. We started off well with a few small hounds, a roker and not too much weed. Over slack we had a short move and arrived in time for the next tide to start running. We had our first dogfish of the day and unfortunately not our last but we also had a nice run of hounds as the tide got going. There were no monsters but plenty in the 2-6lbs range. Matt and barry both snuck out a small bass each and a couple more roker came out too. After a few hours the hounds slowed up a bit so we headed back closer to home and had 45 minutes for roker. We managed to sneak another 8 roker out before home time . we finished up with 33 hounds, 11 roker, a couple of bass several dogs and a whiting or two for the day.
