Today luke’s family and friends were booked on the boat for luke’s 40th birthday. Luck was on our side and the tide didn’t go out as far as we had feared so the lads made it down just in time to get away on the end of the ebb. We took a steady ride down and got anchored as the tide started to run. The first hour or two produced 4 roker and the odd bite but fishing was slow so we put a short move in. the next mark proved to be worse than the first and we dint get any fish until an hour or so later when a roker came in as I hauled the anchor. We had another short move for the last of the tide. This resulted in a steady run of fish for the last hour or so of tide. There were several roker along with a few whiting and dogfish. We moved closer to home over slack and fished the last hour or so here. The lads snuck out a few more roker before home time. We didn’t have loads today, 14 roker with the biggest falling to birthday boy luke.
