We headed out on a premier trip the other day with 7 people on board. The weather wasn’t perfect but we were able to find a bit of shelter first thing and even as the tide turned and the sea got up we were comfortable all day. The fishing started well and continued to produce all day. Many of the lads aboard are regulars with us and they were joined by Rebecca today. Rebecca told us many tales of her time as a commercial bass angler out of Alderney in the channel isles in a previous life. it was obvious she was an experienced and competent anglers from the first fish she bought in. although most of the catch was made up of roker we had a couple of whiting and several dogfish throughout the day. As the day went on a few bigger fish came through and the biggest fell to Stephen Charles over 13.8lbs. the fish didn’t stop coming over the side all day with a few males kept for the table and the vast majority returned. We clocked 93 for the day which is a great day by any bodies standards.
We will be running charters as and when we can over the coming months but as public opinion and government advice change overnight I cant say what will or wont go ahead. If your booked in for a trip please bear with me and I will evaluate it nearer the time. If you wish to book for a future trip please feel free to do so. We promise not to spent your deposits on bulk buying loo roll and instead keep them separate in case they need to be returned to you.
