Had a premier trip out today with a mixture of lads aboard, Stephen is one of the most frequent anglers aboard the galloper and he was joined by Dennis and Richard who both fish regularly with me and they were joined by Dave and Steve on their first trip. The weather was better than I expected with a nice calm start to the day. We pushed a fair way off in search of something different. It was my first time fishing this area in a good while so it was interesting to see what was about. We had a few crabs which just about lasted us the day. There we plenty of hounds to start with which made short work of them although the lads struggled to get a hook in them. A few roker came out during the day but the main fish were dogfish in vast numbers queuing up for our baits. The lads did well persevering and this paid off for Dennis who found me a nice bass. We finished up with 10 hounds 5 roker and a bass amongst the dogfish.
