Despite the weather over the last week or so we have still managed a few trips in and around the wind. We have found good numbers of bass with some decent eating fish amongst them. The hounds are still present although we havnt seen any big girls for a week or two. There are still a few roker and dogfish mixed in. as we have been using more worm we have seen a few more eels over the last few weeks and even some more soles. Carl and Billy-roy hired the boat on a windy day and after starting off with some cracking bass and small hounds they managed to find a brace of dover sole as well as some roker. The biggest bass went just under 5lbs although they had 3 over 4lb mixed in with many smaller fish. it was great to see Billy-roy hadn’t lost his touch and caught loads more than dad once again.
Despite the latest relaxation on covid regs we are still limited to gatherings of 5 on the boat (6 if same household) we have to comply with this to keep our insurers happy and hopefully you safer. For the moment I have contacted julys bookings and will deal with august nearer the time if need be. With this in mind I have had a couple of larger groups drop out this month so a couple of dates are available at the moment please be quick.
