Back out today with more glorious weather and another premier offshore trip.  Fresh bait was the order of the day again so we started out feathering for mackerel. We plucked one or two out with uncle steve loosing a better fish (most likely a bass). We hit a little purple patch at one stage were we managed two drifts when everybody was in to the mackerel and we soon had loads for the day. We made our way further off today and hoped the tope had done the same. We fished the best part of the tide with good conditions and great bait but unfortunately wasted it on a heap of dogfish.  There were a few nice roker mixed in and a few hounds too. Paul had the best fish of the day though with a bass some where around the 4.8-5lbs size.  No tope today but hopefully they will be on the feed on the next tides.
