There are heaps of Sprat about at the moment. They may have been late arriving but they have made up for it in numbers. The estuary is solid with them and further down isn’t much different. The only good news is they shouldn’t hang around too long now.
The sprats have effected the fishing in places but we just have to adapt our approach and there are still a few fish to be found. Where the sprats are present, whiting and dogfish are hard to find though they are there. There are a few thorn-backs in places but we have to work hard to find them at times. Hopefully some settle warmer weather will get the rays feeding better soon and things will kick off for the spring then. I have some space this weekend if you fancy a day out. Please get in touch.
Please take note, I have listed below my weekend availability until the middle of May. As you can see weekend Dates are limited after February as things are getting booked up very well in advance. If you would like a weekend booking or a specific date/tide then please get in touch and book as soon as possible or it may be gone. Quite a few mid-week dates have already gone too to please don’t delay.
