You may have noticed that fuel prices have shot up at the pump somewhat, I can assure you this is nothing compared to what red has done in the last few weeks. We get our fuel in bulk from the distributers and over the course of the last few weeks red diesel has near on doubled in price to us.
I must admit I have tried to swallow some of the rise in running costs my self over the past couple of years. with restricted numbers and other uncertainties related to covid margins have been even tighter than usual with charters. I tried to be fair with my price rises this year too as I didn’t wish to scare you off by introducing a steep price rise to get back on track. Consequently profit margins were already tight on some trips. Unfortunately the current price of fuel will mean that profit margins are eaten into further still. Sadly this means that for the time being I will have to pass some of this burden on to you.
The good news is the Galloper has plenty of room on board, hopefully this means I can remain profitable without effecting the price per person too much. The best solution I can think of will mean that with the fuel sur-charge prices will be as follows
General trip- full boat charter –
Minimum boat charter from £490
£490 8 anglers or fewer
£495 max 9
£550 max 10
Individuals £60pp
‘Premier’ trip £70pp max 7
Offshore trip £100pp max 7 anglers
Please call for other trip prices.
These prices will be introduced as of today 09/03/22
If you are booked on a trip and can no longer afford it or would like me to help you find extra crew to fill the boat then please get in touch on 07956411528
I am very sorry to have to do this, as many of you know I would take you out for the fun of it if I could afford to. However I am running a business that has massive overheads some of which appear to be escalating at the moment.
