Headed out today for a damp and misty start to the morning but at least it was calm. Marie had booked the boat for an outing with friends and family. Several of the lads who were out today had last been out on a wet and wild evening trip back in November so todays weather was a definite improvement. We made our way down a fair distance in the hope of better fishing than yesterday. Things started well with a few roker early on along with plenty of whiting and the odd dogfish. As the tide eased off we had a move to try and find a bit more tide. We had a few whiting over slack water along with 3 herring before moving towards where we had started. There was no shortage of bites here but it all seemed to be pin whiting so after an hour we had a shift closer to home. We finished the day off with more whiting and a couple more roker before home time. We ended up with 5 roker, lots of whiting, a few dogfish, a pouting and a school bass.
