There are still one or two rays hanging around inshore to be caught. These are a welcome break from the whiting which are a little smaller in places than they were a few weeks ago. The arrival of sprats has distracted many of the larger whiting and codling inshore. Even the dogfish have slowed with the drop in temperature. Thankfully the occasional ray puts a better bend in the rod. Of course inshore there Is fun to be had targeting flatties. Further offshore there will be more variety available. Those doggies will still be feeding well but between them there will be a better chance of rays, hounds, spurs, cod and bass. For that we will need some better weather though. Looking ahead to the Christmas break and there may be a chance to get offshore if you fancy it. If you just want a social then I will try and put something together inshore. I may even arrange a charity comp if there’s enough interest.
