Despite feeling decidedly autumnal for most of the week there are still signs of summer aboard the Galloper. We had to make the most of the sheltered fishing on offer for a couple of days but luckily the fish have played ball. We have seen a nice mix of species too as we often expect this time of year. The whiting are started to show in numbers in places followed closely by the dogfish. much as we may complain about both species they fill the gaps between the better fish. the roker (thornback rays) have picked up in numbers over most areas. There have even been several within the estuary. The stamp of fish is lower at this time of year but there have been a few sizable fish mixed in. the hounds are still about although I expect the majority of them will leave the inshore marks over the next couple of weeks. We have seen a few 7-11lbs over the last few trips which always put a decent bend in the rod. There have been sizable bass mixed in on most trips and Kevin had the biggest of the week on his first sea fishing trip at 4.1lbs which he was very pleased with. There have also been lots of baby tope, a few eels, a pouting and a sting ray of 12.14lbs for Tyler which brightened up a blustery day.
I have one space before the end of September on the 12th which will be an offshore bass trip @ £90pp. my next spaces are into October.

I am still keeping things the same regarding numbers on the boat until I hear anything different. So its max 5 anglers (unless living together in which case 6) I don’t have much availability at the moment although I could have to move groups around due to numbers ect.
