Andy had booked the boat with a group of friends today. the weather turned out better than expected to be honest. It was a bit grey but far calmer than expected which caught us by surprise a little. We crept out a bit further than yesterday and had a roker first chuck, after this fishing was quiet so after an hour we put a move in. the lads had a load of worm so I was hopeful of seeing a late codling on our next mark. There was certainly more life here but mostly dogfish, whiting and the odd roker came in. we had a short move for the last of the tide and picked up some more roker and a codling before slack. The codling came out on squid with out lug typically! We had a move over slack water and had a few more roker by home time.  We finished up with 15 roker, a few whiting, a few dogfish and a codling. Chasing around to try and find a codling cost us on the numbers of roker but we still had a good day.
