Just back from a very pleasant 4hr trip with Aaron and the lads hiring the boat between the 3 of them. The weather was bright and breezy for most of the trip but thankfully there were plenty of fish within the sheltered waters of the blackwater and Colne estuaries. We had a thornback ray first cast as well as braces of whiting and dabs to get us off the mark. The fish weren’t huge but very welcome as was a trip on the boat to blow the Christmas cobwebs away. We had a couple more rays before we had to head in and managed to beat the worse of the weather. It was great to see the lads enjoy their trip and get a few fish despite the strong wind.

It looks like there could be a little less wind at the weekend so I will try to get a trip or two together. Please contact me if you want to join us.
