Its been another busy week aboard the Galloper. Hounds,  rays and Bass have varied in size and numbers from trip to trip but its fair to say everybody has seen plenty of fish. As we move further into summer time we have seen plenty of variety too. A couple of silver eels came out, 2 dover soles one day for Wayne and Dan and a Stingray for Stephen Charles. The second one he has caught aboard the Galloper and interestingly enough it was on the same mark too! I am sure these different species are because we are using more rag worm than we used to. A small ray bait tipped with squid can account for most species this time of year. We have even seen a few small tope showing inshore on these baits too. The dogfish are still vary numerous although the whiting numbers seem to be gradually thinning out.
