its been another hectic week so apologies for a brief report.  The weather wasn’t as good as had originally been forecast with a stiff breeze as well as rain showers between the sunshine. Luckily the fishing was good and the blackwater estuary meant we were well placed to reach the fish with shelter too. most trips produced around 30-40 hounds with several around double figures mixed in too. our biggest this week went to john at 15.10lbs. this fish had become entangled in a discarded ‘o’ ring which seemed to have been there for some time. We removed this and sent her on her way having done our good deed for the day.  there were only a couple of roker and dogfish mixed in as many of these will have moved further offshore for the next couple of months. Each trip varied somewhat in numbers of bass. There were still some larger fish mixed in with the biggest falling to young Lenny at over 5.8lbs.  Lenny and Archie did very well throughout there trip catching some great fish and behaving very well in what were challenging conditions at times. Hopefully the fishing continues to be this good for a while yet as its shaping up to be a great summer.
