Its been another hectic week with several trips out, the weather wasn’t amazing but it was manageable anyway. There are still plenty of rokers inshore although we have had to work for them at times. Rag worm has helped with targeting bass and one morning they were a fish a chuck but unfortunately all small ones.  We had a ride a bit further out one day when the weather allowed and managed a few hounds up to 7-8lbs. these along with the bass and a couple of hours on the roker made for a good day. when we can I will head back out for the hounds again. after steaming further afield to find some hounds it was sods law that we caught one in the river at the end of the day while fishing for roker!  We had our first go for mackerel this year and had plenty in just 2 drifts so hopefully the tope will start to show on the next set of tides.
