Myself and 3 lads headed out today to blow the cobwebs away after Christmas. The weather was spot on with no wind and even a bit of sunshine this afternoon. We started off with plenty of whiting and dogfish before the turn of the tide when we moved a little closer to home. We spent the rest of the day here and had a steady stream of fish coming in throughout the tide. We had a constant stream of whiting coming in interspersed with the odd roker or even double hook up of roker as well as some more dogfish. Andy managed to winkle out a nice codling and was very pleased when he had a pouting later in the day to do a winter grand slam. By the end of the day we had managed 28 roker with a few around double figures along with all of the whiting, dogfish, pouting and that codling it made for a good day. The mild weather seems to have bought things back to life.
