Had 8 individuals out today, I was hopeful as we left with a dry day forecast and improving sea state throughout the day. We started off in the river and had the turn of the tide and the start of the next one here. We had lots of whiting and dogfish as expected but the first roker took a while to come. Ian had the first roker although this seemed to be a lonely fish. we had a move in search of better fish and just found more whiting the next couple of marks with fewer dogfish. Serhan had been trying jig fishing all morning unfortunately with no success. Full marks for determination on his part but a change to conventional bait fishing caught him his first ever roker. We had another move after this and found yet more roker. The lads had fished hard today but I just couldn’t put them on any roker. Thankfully the barrage of whiting and dogfish kept them occupied throughout the day. Just two roker on board.
